How We Work

What We Never Do

Promises are easy. So here are ours in reverse: the things we refuse to do, written down before you ever pay us anything.

Most academies tell you what they do. We think the more honest page is the one that says what we will not do — because anyone can promise the moon before you pay. Here is ours, in writing. We never promise a specific rating gain or a chess title, because no academy on earth can guarantee how a child will perform; we promise structured coaching, FIDE-rated coaches, and straight feedback instead. We never sell or share your personal data — your number and your child's details stay with us, used only to run your classes and talk to you. We never publish our fees on the website, because the right price depends on the format your child needs, and a price list pushes families toward the wrong one; fees are shared on WhatsApp, in a real conversation. And we never pressure-enrol: the free trial is free, the decision is yours, and a no is accepted gracefully. That is the whole page, really. The rest is the detail.

We never promise a specific rating gain or title

"Your child will gain 200 rating points in three months" — you have probably seen lines like that. We will never write one. Chess improvement depends on the student: how they practise, how they play, how they handle losing, how often they sit at the board between lessons. A coach can teach brilliantly and a student can still have a bad tournament month, because that is how chess works. What we can promise is the part we control: live structured lessons, FIDE-rated coaches, small classes where your child is actually seen, homework that matches their level, and honest progress notes on WhatsApp. If a coach tells you your child is struggling with endgames, that is useful. If someone promises you a title, that is marketing. We do the first one.

We never sell or share your data

Your WhatsApp number, your child's name and age, the notes about their level — that information exists so we can teach your child and talk to you. It is not a product. We never sell it, rent it, or hand it to third parties for marketing, and we do not run our business by trading in parent data. The academy's growth comes from classes that parents recommend to other parents, not from lists. If you ever want to know what information we hold about your family, just ask on WhatsApp and we will tell you plainly.

We never show fees publicly

This one surprises people, so it deserves a full explanation. Our fees are not on the website on purpose. The right fee depends on the format: a group class, a semi-private class, or one-to-one coaching — and those are genuinely different prices for genuinely different experiences. A single published price list tempts parents to pick by price instead of by fit, and then a child lands in the wrong format. Instead, we have a short conversation on WhatsApp first — the student's age, level, what they need — and then we share the fee structure that matches. No fee figure is ever hidden from a parent who asks; it is simply shared in context, where it means something. That is our fairness promise in action: terms in writing before you enrol, but never a number stripped of its meaning.

We never pressure-enrol

The free trial class is free, and it comes with no strings. After the trial, we will answer your questions and share the fee structure if you ask. What we will not do: call you five times, invent a "today only" discount, warn you that seats are vanishing, or make you feel awkward for saying no. High-pressure selling works on anxious parents and we want no part of it. If the trial convinces you, wonderful — we will set up the schedule on WhatsApp. If it does not, tell us honestly; a clean no costs us nothing and keeps your trust, which is worth more. Parents can also read how we handle children's safety in class on our child safety page — the same honesty, applied to the other side of the relationship.

Straight answers

Do you guarantee my child will gain rating points?

No. No honest academy can promise a specific rating gain or a chess title — progress depends on the student, the practice, and the tournaments. We promise structured coaching, FIDE-rated coaches, and honest feedback on how your child is doing, but never a number.

Do you sell or share my personal data?

No. Your contact details and your child's information are never sold or shared with third parties. We use them only to run your classes and communicate with you on WhatsApp.

Why are your fees not published on the website?

Because the right fee depends on the format your child needs — group, semi-private, or 1:1 — and a single price list pushes parents toward the wrong choice. We share the fee structure on WhatsApp after a short conversation about your child's level, so the format and the fee match. That is a deliberate decision, not an oversight.

Will I be pressured to enrol after the free trial?

No. The free trial is exactly that: free, with no obligation. After the trial we will answer your questions and share the fee structure on WhatsApp if you ask — but we will not call repeatedly, invent a deadline, or make you feel cornered. If it is not a fit, we would rather hear that honestly.

The honest next step
